Positive Aspects of Hotell Svanen

The standard twin room is compact and features a safe, central heating, and a work desk. the hotel serves fresh bread and cheese for breakfast, with food that is freshly made. the staff is friendly and welcoming, ensuring that the hotel is kept impeccably clean. Its location is exceptionally nice, close to Kalmar and the surrounding area.

Thanks a lot all for a good stay for a short visit. Got the same decent size room with a bathroom booked online, greatly enjoyed that. The location of this hotel adjacent to the centrum, town center and downtown of kalmar was best possible.

The location was marvellous and peaceful - only a short distance to everywhere we wanted to go. It also was near the downtown.

I had a great experience at Hotell Svanen! the room was a decent size and came with a nice bathroom. the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. the hotel's location is perfect, situated in a peaceful residential area, just a short walk to the town center. I also loved being close to the beautiful Kalmar and the stunning Holy Mountains, which are only about 3 km away.

We were amazed that this was the most expensive hotel booking on our tour around southern Sweden (including Stockholm) but the standard of accommodation was by far the worst. When booking a double room for two adults we expected something that offered a little more space than a typical university student’s study-bedroom. In booking we noted the room size was specified as 18sq m but the picture also showed two twin beds side by side. In the room we were allocated that arrangement was not possible and the two single beds were cramped and narrow. In our previous hotel on our tour, our ensuite bathroom offered more space than the bedroom at Svanen! The price charged for this accommodation was excessive. We will not stay at this hotel again nor will we recommend it to others.

My room was impeccably clean and equipped with central heating, a multi-channel television, and a study table. the bathroom was great for relaxation. the location was peaceful, nestled close to forests, lakes, and the stunning city of Kalmar.

Cleanliness of the room was good

The toilett in the romm was very, very small, even I am not a fat man (75 kg).

Quite close to the city center, yet at a convenient distance and very nice surroundings.

The location was magnificent, situated near Kalmar in early September, and in a quiet area. the staff was friendly and helpful, efficiently addressing my needs. My stay in the immaculately clean and compact economy twin room with a bathroom was very enjoyable.

The room was very small but ok and we had a nice view (3rd floor). Good located to walk into the city center (Kalmar castle) and to drive to oeland. Good breakfast.

Very small wash basin in the bath room. Be aware that you have to pay a service fee when you buy stamps even if you buy cards there!

Location to town was a short 10 minute walk.

Hotel is also a hostel. Room was expensive and no desk to write on. Very basic. Internet expensive as well. Breakfast was very basic considering what I had paid.

This place has a great and quiet location, close to downtown and the town center, with clean and compact rooms including a bathroom.

Pleasant location on the edge of town with a small car park and free street parking. Comfortable beds and very quiet ensured a good night's sleep. About 20 mins walk to centre.

Note when staying here, everything except breakfast is charged for, however this would not stop me staying again.
